Dressing Up for a Night Out

Dressing up for a night out can be stressful. and often times both men and women don't know what proper attire looks like for a different clubs, bars, and lounges. However, finding the perfect outfit is simple once you know dress codes for certain events. J. Kissas once said, "It is better to be overdressed than underdressed because you never know who you will run into or potentially meet".

In most nightclub settings ,you should always dress to impress, but what does this entail? Girls should wear dresses or embellished pants with heels and a nice blouse. Cocktail dresses are ideal, and in the winter it is best to come prepared with a dressy coat. There is always coat check, and keep in mind that most nightclubs become war, especially if you decide to break a sweat on the dance floor!

Wear your best shoes, whether they are flats or heels. Sneakers and jeans are not permitted, but costume jewelry and matching accessories are encouraged. Don't worry about wearing designer labels, as long as you look the part, you'll feel right at home with influencers and celebrities.

For guys, dress code is more formal. Absolutely no denim or cargo shorts, flip flops, or hats are permitted. Guys should wear button down shirts or a dress shirt with a blazer. Dress shoes are essential, and for guys, the dress code can make or break whether you get into a venue. Not dressing properly can make getting into a club more challenging.

Dressing in the classiest way possible will give both guys and girls an advantage in exclusive settings. Underdressing can make anyone feel out of place since most nightclubs, lounges, and bars have an upscale, chic vibe. Bottom line is, when preparing for a night out, make sure you're ready to look the part - from your hair and makeup, to your shoes and accessories, you should feel ready to take on the city in style. Always remember to put effort into your appearance because you never know who's watching.
